Tallit, kippah and bag of raw silk with insets and appliqué of Dupioni silk. Atarah embroidery (below, from Jeremiah 17:8) reads: “Like a tree planted by waters, sending forth its roots by a stream.” The motif of a stream and roots is carried through the design.

Silk appliqué pomegranates (detail photo above right) and a shofar adorn this tallit of raw silk designed with a High Holy Days theme. The atarah’s Hebrew inscription reads: “The great Shofar is sounded, and a still, small voice is heard.”
